Retreat!

Hello guys!

Lately  I've been busy packing! For the school retreat and I'm also moving house! It's exciting but requires me to do so much packing... Anyways I thought I'd share with you some of the things I picked up for myself this week!



Orange nail polish..

For retreat I decided to get a much smaller shower gel since I didn't want to carry a huge one around in my bag! I went with Palmolive Natural Milk and Honey shower milk because it smells amazing and oh I feel like I'm bathing in heaven. It's amazing and leaves your skin feeling so soft! It's a really great product! And while shopping I found this Bright orange BCco nail polish. I picked it up for only $2 at Kmart! I just love this colour! It's gorgeous!

The other item was not on my list but when I saw it, I couldn't resist! I HAD to try the new Lynx for women deodorant body spray! It actually smells soo good! I love this product and yeah I don't know what else there is to say! It's nice!

Okay so I'm all packed and ready for retreat! This should be interesting and what I hope will be a great experience! That's all from me for now!

Flowers :)

Hello!!

I'm back! YAY! :)
Haha anyways, I've been spending a lot of time in my garden outside. No, I don't plant BUT I love looking at the flowers and seeing all the little insects here and there! Is that weird?

Yesterday was Valentines Day and since I didn't get any flowers :( I decided to go out and smell the ones out in my yard! woo!!

The first one that caught my eye was the bright yellow marigold. These flowers are just so bright and will definately lift up your spirit. They also smell amazing and I wish I had more of those around but sadly, I have just one plant :( Its vibrant colour is sure to light up your garden and bring a positive vibe to it!

 These flowers are all roses. Who doesn't love roses? Different types of roses planted next to each other to create one big bush of different coloured roses. They are actually so beautiful and having them next to my window means that I can smell them all day! With the casual visit from bugs and insects... lovely!

Another type of flower I found was the gorgeous Geranium. We have two types, the hot pink and the light pink. They make everything look so much nicer and really stands out from the others around them! They don't really smell... I don't think... they don't have a strong sweet smell to them but I love how they are so bright and different!

And what really got me excited about these flowers is that you could put them all together and create a bouquet at home! It's beautiful and FREE!! You can arrange them in any way you like!

Nail Polish for school!

Hello!! :) :)

I've always loved nail polishes, red, blue, yellow, green, purple, pink, black, aqua, you name it and I'll wear it! I love the look of painted nail but the only time I could ever wear them was on weekends or during the holidays and that was really annoying because school don't allow nail polish!

So I went everywhere looking for a natural-looking colour but couldn't find one that I liked! :(

But for Christmas, my parents surprised me with 10 new nail polishes

(there's only 9 here because I misplaced one :/ )

 I instantly fell in love with them! Not only for their cute little bottles but because the colours are so beautiful! And there I noticed that I could wear two of them for school since they didn't stand out as much as the others.

These two are so adorable and very light! It's perfect for a natural look. I've worn the one on the left for two weeks now and no teachers have noticed so far which is great! The one on the right I have on now, It's a lovely silky colour and really shines when the light hits it! It looks amazing! 

This red is so bright and I can't help but love this colour! Since it's too noticeable, I decided to paint my toe nails instead! I love the fact that it makes them stand out! It's a lovely colour!

What I love about these nail polishes is that they are very simple and don't take too long to dry which is always good for impatient people like me! :p 

So if you're a nail polish lover like me but can't wear them because of school, try and find a colour that looks natural or doesn't stand out as much! It still makes your nails look awesome but doesnt attract the eyes of teachers!

Valentine's day playlist!

Hello there!

Well the past couple of days have been... let's say... challenging. I was grumpy and quite annoyed at a few different things and surprise, surprise one of them was school! NO WAY! ha-ha anyways I've been dying to post something on here for days but I had to stop myself from blogging since I wasn't going to blog happy or lovely things. I mean, who wants a sad, dark and angry post on a colourful blog? Makes no sense to me!

So it's nearly Valentine's day and that got me thinking! Who doesn't love those song that describe exactly what you're feeling deep down inside? (even though you don't want to admit it)

My first post! Yay!! :)

Wow okay, this is my first post... erm... I don't know where to start.

So I was really excited to start a blog because I know that in real-life I have so many opinions and ideas that I thought that I should just put them all on a blog. And also I talk a lot so writing wouldn't be so hard, right?

Anyways, so I decorate my blog page, adding a few things here and there. I know it's not amazing or anything but for now, it'll have to do! haha I was very excited to start this and then I thought to myself... what should be my first post? What am I going to blog about? Oh my... I actually have no idea!!

And I decided that i'd wait til night because that is when my brain decides that it does actually want to work! Right before going to bed, my brain bursts with all these ideas and thoughts and passion! (Passion? lol what?) So I had hundreds of ideas but sitting at my computer right now, I seem to have forgotten all of them... great!

That's okay! So I sat here for about half an hour thinking of what should my first post be about? So I googled a few tips here and there and most of them said to be myself... err... great tip, doesn't help though ey! But thought why not actually introduce myself?

So... here I go...!!
I'm Karine and I'm 17 years old! 18 in about two months (YAY!!) I love having fun (who doesnt?) But i'd rather just watch movies, blog, listen to music than go out (lazy? you guessed it!) But I love the beach! Maybe that's because I come from a Tropical Island called Mauritius! But I could just sit on the beach or collect sea shells all day and i'd be happy! Um I love music, although I can't play instrument or don't really sing, I enjoy listening to it! I love colours, they make me happy and they're nice! (wow what a great reason, don't you think?)
I started this blog where I would post things I like or find interesting and I will try to keep it into this 'tropical colours' theme I picked :p

Anyways that's all from me for now! I would really appreciate it if any of you would give me any tips or anything like that! Please feel free to leave me comments and stuffs since I'm new to all this.
